Charlie Loucks, a current 11th grader, has been named a 2023 Regional Scholar by the Classic Learning Test for his outstanding performance on the CLT10. The Regional Scholar award recognizes ninth and tenth graders who scored in the TOP 5% of their geographic region on the CLT10 during the 2022-23 academic year. Thousands of students take the CLT10 each year, so to outscore 95% of other test takers is an outstanding accomplishment.
The CLT10 is a college preparatory exam and PSAT alternative. The test contains three sections: Verbal Reasoning, Grammar & Writing, and Quantitative Reasoning. The exam is offered by Classic Learning Test which creates exams comparable to the SAT, ACT, and PSAT in addition to assessments for 3rd-12th grade. Its college entrance exam, the CLT, is accepted at over 250 colleges and universities across the U.S. and abroad. Recently, CLT made national headlines when the state of Florida approved the CLT as an accepted admissions test at all of its public universities.
