Continuous Enrollment @ Redeemer

Convenience and Peace of Mind

Given that the vast majority of families choose to keep their children at Redeemer year after year, we wanted to make the process of staying at Redeemer as easy as possible. That’s why we’re moving to Continuous Enrollment. Take a moment to watch the video and read the FAQ below to learn more.

We’re confident that you’ll love the convenience and peace of mind that Continuous Enrollment brings.

Frequently Asked Questions

+ Why Continuous Enrollment?

Most Redeemer families choose to remain at Redeemer through graduation, so we have adopted a simple, seamless process for you to keep your children enrolled with us. With a Continuous Enrollment system, we have reduced paperwork and made continued enrollment for your child(ren) logistically very convenient.

+ How is Continuous Enrollment different from re-enrollment?

  1. Up until this point, re-enrollment has been an “opt-in” program. We would ask every family annually, “Are you coming back?” Last year, for instance, we retained 90% of our student body. So EVERYONE had to go through re-enrollment for the sake of the 10% that, for one reason or another, did not choose to come back that year. In a sense, we’ve been penalizing the vast majority of families by forcing everyone to go through this process every year.
  2. By signing your Continuous Enrollment Contract, you will be flipping that script. Rather than an opt-IN annual re-enrollment process, Redeemer’s annual re-enrollment will become an opt-OUT process. In other words, if you’re coming back after signing your Continuous Enrollment Contract, you’ll never have to worry about this again.

+ What do I get out of this?

  1. Simplicity.
  2. Guaranteed placement. With increasing enrollment, we are either at or near waitlists in many of our grades. Placement in next year’s classes are for increasingly sought-after spots. By opting into continuous enrollment, you’ll be locking down a coveted seat for your child all the way up until graduation.

+ So after this year, what will the “Re-enrollment Season” Look Like?

Once all of our families are on the Continuous Enrollment Program, the typical re-enrollment season (January) will simply be a communication reminder from the Office informing the families that might be thinking about leaving our school to notify us prior to FEBRUARY 1. If last year is any indication, this means that roughly 90% of Redeemer families will have the convenience of ignoring this message and doing absolutely nothing!

+ What is the tuition deposit?

The tuition deposit, formerly the re-enrollment deposit, secures placement for the upcoming year. This deposit is collected in order to assist the Redeemer administration in effectively planning for facilities, staffing and curriculum for the upcoming school year. It will be automatically charged to your FACTS account after February 1st.

+ What’s the penalty if I break this contract?

If you inform the school before February 1st that you’ll not be returning the following school year, there is no penalty whatsoever. Otherwise, there is a penalty that is equal to 1/10th of the full tuition amount (this is what it has been for many years now).

+ What about unique circumstances? I’m planning on keeping my kids at RCS until college, but what if God has other plans for my family?

We’ve built flexibility into this contract. So, for major life changes or unique circumstances like moving away from our school — or if Redeemer can no longer meet your child’s educational needs, or if we ask your family to leave, or if there is some unforeseen circumstance that our Board of Directors approves — there will be no financial penalty.

+ What if my student(s) is/are not returning next year?

To withdraw the student for the following academic year, you simply need to inform the Office prior to February 1st. Requests for the transfer of student records and year-end report cards will be processed only when a student’s account with Redeemer is paid in full.

+ When will this take place?

This year (2020-21 school year) will be the final year for re-enrollment. In the process of re-enrolling for the 2021-22 school year you will sign a Continuous Enrollment Contract. Thus, moving forward, we will be a Continuous Enrollment School.

+ OK. Great! How do I sign up for this?

All you have to do is complete the re-enrollment process this year. In doing so, you’ll sign (digitally) the new Continuous Enrollment Contract, and you’ll be all set for the remainder of your child(ren)’s time at Redeemer Classical School.
